One week before we finished our academic year, the whole class went on a study trip to a vineyard in Beaujolais. It was quite a memorable outing, as it was our last one together before each and everyone of us left for internship.
So the trip on a whole was very enjoyable one. We learned a lot, and of course drank as much as we could too. We left school at 12.30 , it was a very light day as we only had coffee lesson in the morning. Compared to other days, we would had probably examinations or small tests that would affect our admission to the second year.
On the van, some people slept all the way while the others took the opportunity to take silly pictures.

The famous pair of Roommates!!! Léopold and Lun.
L to R: Alex the brainy of our class, Gabriel and Lu Wei.
L to R: Patrick, Leo, Yi Chang, Lun and me
The ever so sleepy Lun. He is infamous for sleeping, he sleeps so very often during our lessons.
After about 1 hour, we finally arrived to this wine museum.
Smokers/my classmates in front of the museum before going in.
As we entered, there was this overwhelming decor of an old railway station.
Yi chun and a very blurred out me.
An old distillery.
Equipment used then to cork wine bottles.
An old bar.
Old flask that produced sparkling water.

An old grape presser.

The God of Wine – Dionysius
We passed by this kids section, and my classmates started playing this memory card game for children. Funny things was, our professeur Mr Gateau joined in too.
Next we watched a 3D movie about the region’s wines.

The different sizes of bottles available.

The different packaging for the brand.
After our visit in the museum, it was time to tasted the wines of the region.
Me smelling the white wine.
Then finally, tasting it.
Around the bar.
After wine tasting, we passed by their wine boutique.
Was very excited to see these three bottles. Just look at that price!!!! RM 1000 for a bottle of wine!!! Chateau Mouton Rothschild is expensive because they feature different designs by famous artists for their labels each year.

Yi chun and Lun happy with their purchase.
Then, our tour of the museum ended.
We then took a train to visit the vineyard and it’s distillery.

The distillery is about 10 minutes ride from the museum. We passed by beautiful landscapes of the region.

Inside the building.
A frozen leo at the stairs.
Barrels and barrels of wine.
After the visit of the distillery, we passed on to their vegetable garden and vineyard.

I don’t know how it started then, but my friends started being “posers” for the camera.
First Yi Chun….
Then Yi-chang tried too….but this picture didn’t come out as he wanted it to be.
Second try which I took…..much better haha….so poser lar….my friends.
Then i had to join in posing too. We wanted to act like we work there.

Me taking picture of grapes.
Everything ended. We then waited for our ride to come.

argh….what you want?!!! Yi Chang making his tulan face…
More goofy pictures…
We all went back feeling happy of the time spent together. The wine was fantastic, and I learned a lot from this study trip. It is sad cause it was our last outing together for the year.
Wanna wish all my comrades good luck for the next 4 months during their internship and we’ll reunite next year!!!!
Most of the photos above belong to Yi Chang…so big thanks to him.
